It started raining last night. We sat and chatted with two Czechs from Canada. It was their last night here. Lenka was trying to gently turn down an amorous Cuban’s emailed invitation to Paris. We’ve been in Lanquin for 5 days. Today is Monday. I haven’t been posting because we have limited internet and there isn’t much to talk about. Today is gorgeous. I woke to blue skies and bright sun. The difference between the sunbeams and the shade is dramatic here. On days like this I prefer the shade. We left wonderful Caye Caulker this morning bound for Flores Guatemala. We did not leave before we got a Cinnamon Roll from the bakery, one of our enticements.. When we arrived at the bus terminal/water taxi terminal in Belize City we found that the only bus for Flores had already left. I talked to a taxi driver and he said he would drive us to the border for $100 US, three times more expensive than the bus.… Read the rest

Today we got up and walked to a Cafe and got some coffee and tea. I bought a triple chocolate espresso brownie as well. We walked to the Ragamuffin Tours and checked in for our snorkeling tour. We got fitted for masks and fins and they asked what we wanted for lunch. We both ordered the seafood curry. We walked back to the hostel and ate our granola breakfast.… Read the rest
