Sunday we found the Ciclovia. Bogota shuts down a few of the big streets on Sundays. Then thousands of people come out biking. It is a lively scene with street vendors, performers, and protestors. Jill and I wandered over to the National museum. Another great thing about Bogota is many museums are free on Sundays. The national museum tells the story of Colombia from its first people until today.

Yesterday, we took a stroll around town. We walked to a hostel in Boca Grande and decided to move there on Monday. Jill wanted a window and it’s a little cheaper. Jill bought a dress, and we ate lunch at a place called Puerto Rico. The food was top notch and cost around 10 dollars. After lunch we met a man named Pedro; he was proud of Colombia and invited our questions of him.

Jill slept in a food court until the security guard roused her. We found our way to the other airport by city bus and then a taxi to our hostel.

We’ve been having tons of fun here since our first day. I can’t remember what day we arrived on. The day after we arrived we found a lovely place for the right price. Since then we’re enjoying our practically private rooftop patio and finding delicious restaurants. On Tuesday we went on a walking tour. We learned, really just confirmed, that Antigua has little in common with the rest of Guatemala.
