Jill slept in this morning. She forgot to set her alarm and I got up before her. That never happens. I made oatmeal and coffee for us. I cleaned the bathroom and Jill cooked a bunch of rice and lentils. Then we kayaked over to the dome house. We thought about going to the sandbar but it seemed too far. We saw a big group of dolphins going that way though. They were surfacing and it looked like there were 8 or 9 of them. It was really neat and we got relatively close to them. One was missing the tip of his fin so we named it Nemo. When we got to the dome house there was a big shrimp boat anchored there. We met a woman from it. She said her brother had gotten it through salvage. The owner didn’t claim it so he got to keep it and plans to start shrimping from it. They were having a barnacle scraping party on it.
I went snorkeling and Jill took a bunch of photos learning more about the camera. Then we collected shells to send Jill’s mother. I looked for the Box Turtle but didn’t see it. I did see a snake relaxing on the outhouse windowsill, Jill thought that was hilarious. We jumped back in the kayaks and pedaled back to the house for cocktail hour and arrived just in time. We had Lentil burgers for supper. They were the best burgers Jill’s made. We started planning our Mexican adventure in earnest. I sent a couple couch requests and we decided that we will visit Chichen Itza. Jill said it is one of the new 7 wonders of the world. We may also go to Tulum and Chetumel on the Caribbean coast. Everything sounds so fun. I want to do it all.
