Today Jill and I started to form a routine here. I got breakfast at the hostel. It is always delicious eggs and fruit. Jill makes some oatmeal for herself. I would’ve enjoyed some but we were running out. After we walked to the market. Jill wanted to buy a certain basket. It is made of woven plastic line. We found it and paid 100 pesos for it, the same as another place we saw it but it still seemed expensive. Then we discovered all the things we wanted from the grocery store at the market, even more oats. We found our first mangos at the market as well. They are the fist sized yellow kind. Jill was happy to make use of her new basket bag. We returned to the hostel for lunch; avocado and tomato baguettes with mangos.
This afternoon we walked all the way to the mall. We picked up a few things at Mexican-Walmart and grabbed a snack at McDonald’s. I’m here at our house and Jill went to a meditation class down the street.
Does “forming a routine” mean you’re going to stay a while somewhere? Have you left San Cristobal de Las Casas behind?
No we are here for 6 more days.
